I have, of late, had increased paranoia about not waking up on time. I have various alarms, depending on when I teach, but yesterday my phone alarm didn't go off as it was set to. If I hadn't of woken up on my own ten minutes later than I had planned, I would have missed teaching my class.
So, last night I set two alarms. Only, apparently when I set the real one, I also set the one that I sometimes use to wake up for middle-of-the-night Korean classes... think around 1 to 2 a.m.
I woke up last night to Tim asking me whether or not I was going to turn off the alarm. I looked at my alarm clock, saw that it was around 1:30in the morning, thought he must be crazy and went back to sleep. I didn't plan on waking up until 7:00 in the morning. I was only momentarily super annoyed that Tim woke me up just to ask me about my alarm clock, and wondered if he was just then getting to bed.
What in reality happened is that my alarm clock had gone off several times, and in my sleep, I had just kept turning them off. I have no memory of this happening, but you'll just have to take Tim's word for it that he became fed up with the alarm clock continually going off and being reset, finally asked me, and I somehow turned the alarm off for good without turning off my real alarm, in my sleep.
Along with humming and teeth-grinding, when do I actually rest in sleep? I wish someone would tell my sleeping body to chill out.
