Today I tried on a 7 carat diamond ring. I could have taken it home for a cool 85,000 dollars, or with the armed policeman who was guarding it trailing after me.

This past Tuesday, I had a question about my bank account in Wilmington, so I called several times trying to get an answer. Nobody would pick up the phone, and the 1800 number got me no where. In frustration (and I was slightly frustrated) , I told Tim I would just try back in an hour.

So, in a hour I called, and thankfully, I got through. They couldn't help me, however, because there had been an emergency and they were trying to evacuate the building, but try the 1800 number if you get desperate.

Today, I checked out the online paper, and it turns out, I was phoning at the same time that the bank was being robbed. No joke. The guy got away with 500 dollars, but the police soon captured him.

The slightly ironic thing: the story I submitted to get into UNCW was about a bank robbery.

My luggage arrived at my doorstep at 5:50 this morning. I must say, that wasn't exactly when I was expecting it.

All I have to say is, get ready Wilmington.

This past week has been a very long week.

It started with another wonderful wedding shower in Texarkana, complete with great food, nice people, and generous gifts.

The day after the shower, we loaded up a 26 foot Penske truck. By loaded up, I mean we took up a small corner of the truck. And then we put Tim's car on a trailer, and Tim, Tim's Dad, and I, all on the bench seat of the moving truck, drove to Russellville where we barely managed to fill the bottom and miss a major storm.

We then drove across three states to land in Wilmington, NC. Not a single thing broke along the way. In fact, it all went very smoothly until the trip home... while our luggage flew to Detroit (where we were originally suppose to fly to before mechanical errors), at the same time that David and I flew (first class) from Memphis.

Now, just because, here are two important things:

The view from our apartment. We have three large windows, that all view this pretty creek. Not too bad for an apartment.

And most importantly, I leave you with the beach:
